Regular and Large print chart included
This fine-art cross stitch design, The Balcony, was developed from a painting done in 1868 by French artist Edouard Manet who is defined forever as one of the world's greatest artists. The figures in this painting are friends of Manet. The woman on the left is Berthe Morisot who married Manet's brother Eugene (man in the center). The woman on the right is Fanny Claus, a violinist, and the faint figure in the background is Manet's son. Berthe Morisot was an artist herself and a member of the circle of artists who became known as the Impressionists. This painting resides at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
