This advanced fine-art cross stitch design, Red Boats, Argenteuil, was developed from a painting by the well-known French artist, Claude Monet, who was regarded as the founder and leader of the Impressionist group of artists. Argenteuil is a rural suburb on the Seine outside of Paris, which was made famous by Claude Monet's Red Boats at Argenteuil. Monet created this painting in 1875, and it resides at the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris.
