This advanced fine-art cross stitch design, Poudre de Luzy, was developed from a poster created by Leonetto Cappiello (the Father of the Modern Poster) in 1919. Capiello did several posters for the Paris Luzy cosmetics firm, and all of the posters he created for this firm featured an aristocratic lady in a wig. This haughty woman in her colorful dress shows the dedication she has for the product through her embrace of the gigantic powder puff.
