This advanced fine-art cross stitch design, In the Meadow, was developed from an 1888-€“1892 painting by the famed impressionist artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir. This painting celebrates youthful innocence and the goodness of nature. Renoir painted a number of works using these two girls as his models - talking in the countryside, by a piano, reading, and as shown here, picking flowers. He often spent weeks, sometimes months, perfecting his paintings. This painting resides at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
