The fine-art cross stitch design, Dancers, Pink and Green was created from a painting by Edgar Degas in 1890. Degas included a shadow of a top-hatted patron of the Jockey Club in this painting. Degas and members of this club had special permission to visit in the wings during performances. This painting shows two dancers on the stage doing their pas de deaux while others are waiting in the wings for their cue. There are no known drawings for this painting which suggests Degas worked on the canvas with brushes and his fingers. This painting resides at the Museum of Art, New York City.
