This advanced fine-art cross stitch design, With Trumpet and Drum, was developed from an illustration created by famed American illustrator, Maxfield Parrish. This illustration was published in "Poems of Childhood" in 1904. The children in this patriotic image have paper hats and drums, and the flag bearers proudly wave their flags in the wind. "With big tin trumpet and little red drum, Marching like soldiers, the children come."
