This fine-art cross stitch chart was created from the painting, Tiger, painted by Franz Marc in 1912. It is composed of geometric shapes in the cubist style. The tiger appears in its natural habitat, camouflaged by the fragmented cubist forms around him. Color separates the tiger from the background. The forms representing the tiger's features and muscular body are carefully proportioned and simplified while the stylized shapes of the rocks and foliage give the feel of a rhythmic movement. The painting resides at the Stadtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus, Munich.
