This is a fine art, advanced cross-stitch design of The Libreria by John Singer Sargent. The viewer is looking north down the Piazzetta in Venice, Italy. The Libreria is on the left and you can see the dome of the Basilica San Marco in the distance. Singer Sargent was born in Florence in 1856 to American expatriates. He spent his childhood traveling around Europe and entered the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris as a young man. He is best known for his portraits.
