This advanced fine-art cross stitch design, Seaside , was developed from a painting created in 1878 by French artist James Tissot. Tissot was unsurpassed in his depiction of impeccable details in the clothing worn by women of the upper class. This painting shows a beautifully attired woman as the central figure, surrounded by light. She's either engaged in an interesting conversation or is waiting for someone. This painting resides at The Cleveland Museum of Art in Cleveland.
