This fine-art advanced cross stitch design was developed from the well-known painting, Red Oval, by Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky. This was painted while Kandinsky lived briefly in Moscow where he went to "breathe Moscow" and energize his art. He painted several interesting pieces during this period.
