This lovely woman graces the cover of one of French magazine, La Vie Parisienne's beautiful covers. This was a weekly magazine that was published from 1863 to 1970 with no interruptions. The magazine originally included information on sports, theater, music, novels and the arts, but in 1905 the magazine changed hands and the new editor, Charles Saglio, changed the format to attract the modern reader, and it soon became a mildly erotic and risque publication. In fact, General Pershing, during World War I, warned the American soldiers not to purchase the magazine. This greatly boosted its popularity in the United States, and it became very successful internationally because of the illustrations so beautifully done in Nude, Art Nouveau and Art Deco art styles.
Publication of the magazine ceased in 1970, but in 1984 a publication with the same name was started which still exists today.
In spite of her plight, this beautiful woman seems to be handling the situation quite gracefully! This would make a lovely piece for a powder bath or a guest bathroom. And, it would be so much fun to do! You can begin this beautiful downloadable fine art design in just minutes after you place your order.
