This fine-art advanced cross stitch design was developed from the 1916 well-known painting, Hector and Andromaca, by surrealist artist Giorgio de Chirico. De Chirico is best known for the paintings he produced between 1909 and 1919 which was his memorable metaphysical period when he painted haunting, brooding moods as well as cityscapes inspired by the bright daylight of Mediterranean cities.
