This fine-art cross stitch chart was developed from the beautiful painting, Going into the World, by Evert Jan Boks. It depicts a young woman about to embark on a journey that will perhaps take her far from her homeland in order to explore the wonders of the world. Evert Jan Boks, a Dutch artist, was born in 1838 and died in 1914.
