This fine art, advanced cross stitch design, Gabriele Münter Painting in Kallmünz, was painted by Wassily Kandinsky in 1903. Gabriele Münter was a student of artist Kandinsky and had a romantic affair with him. They traveled throughout Europe and settled in Switzerland in 1914. Their affair had become serious but they parted that same year and Münter moved back to Munich. The original painting resides at Stadtische Galerie in Lenbachhaus, Münich, Germany.
