This beautiful downloadable cross stitch design, "Dancing Geisha," was developed from the 1894 impressionist painting by Scottish artist Edward Atkinson Hornel titled Dancing Geisha. Hornel was visiting Japan while this painting was done, and he was intrigued and inspired by the beautiful colors and ornamental decorations of the Japanese.
Hornel did several Japanese paintings during the time he spent in Japan (1893-1894). The colors in this impressionist painting are extremely vivid and inspiring, and the dimensions are such that it can be used in narrower spaces.
