This advanced cross-stitch design, Cassiopeia A: Death Becomes Her, is produced from an image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. Cassiopeia A is located 10,000 light-years away in the northern constellation Cassiopeia, and is the remnant of a massive star that died in a violent supernova explosion 325 years ago. The dead star, called a neutron star, is surrounded by a shell of material that was blasted off as the star died. The neutron star can be seen as a sharp turquoise dot in the center of the shimmering shell.
