This advanced fine-art cross stitch design, A Drum for Tommy, was developed from an illustration created by American illustrator Norman Rockwell. It appeared on the cover of The Country Gentleman published December 17, 1921 by Curtis Publishing Company which also published The Saturday Evening Post.
Santa is visiting a home on Christmas Eve" in his right hand he has a note attached to a small stocking saying, "Plese give me a drum, Tommy," and in his right hand he holds a drum with the name tag "Tommy" How magic is that! Don't miss the sprig of holly behind his ear! This is a Rockwell Santa at its best.
